Submitting CAD Service Work Instructions

A) Submit Your Design:
Use our form in the below orSend an E-mail to our CAD department (janonar@3dwax.com)
with the file attached in the standard .Stl format or acceptable cad files .3dm. (Please zip larger
files) Include in the email; your name, company name, address, phone number, and desired
shipping method (next day or 2nd day).

B) Design Evaluation:
To reduce any unexpected results, we will look over your file and quickly double check your
models integrity. If there are any foreseeable problems we will contact you before we produce
your piece. We will give you a free design evaluation, review your file prior to production, and
make changes with your approval.

C) Free Estimates:
We will contact you with an estimate of cost and production time (most jobs are done within
24-48hrs). Once we are assured of the best outcome, we then grow (rapid prototype) or mill
your wax model. Based on the model design, we may suggest a wax making method for best
results. Having these two different methods (rapid prototype, milling) provide our clients an
advantage since various models and designs require different building approaches. Also, depending
on the type of modeling, different machines have maximum build envelope and other
considerations.

D) Overnight Shipping Available:
Your file will be produced, cleaned, and carefully packaged ready for delivery within 24-48 hours
of receipt. (any changes that need to be made to the file could delay shipping time.)

Integrity and Privacy:
We assure your privacy and confidentiality. Your files remain on file with us for only 90 days and
are then destroyed. Please keep backup files of designs in your possession for your records and
future jobs.
